Job Summary

AECOM has a great opportunity for a Carpenter on our program in Alice Springs, Australia. The selected candidate would perform all tasks and assignments in a safe and effective manner; perform layout of construction requirements utilizing drawings and specifications; perform material take-off of architectural materials utilizing drawing and specifications; maintain inventory of materials and assist with load definition in support of the project schedule; perform selective demolition at the project site and removal of refuse from the area; install architectural assemblies to include metal framing, drywall, suspended ceiling systems, raised floor systems, architectural finishes, doors, locksets and miscellaneous assemblies in support of the project requirements; erect scaffolding and platforms, as required, to support the project requirements; cleanup of the work areas and maintaining the work areas free of clutter and debris; perform material handling in support of the architectural requirements, as well as the overall project requirements; and support multi-discipline needs in support of the project requirements.

Minimum Requirements

  • High school or GED equivalent.

  • 5 or more years of job related experience.

  • Demonstrated proficiency of architectural skill set through trade school, technical school and / or experience.

  • Must have an Active TS Clearance.

  • Minimum of 7 years in the architectural trade.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current Poly preferred.

  • OCONUS experience preferred.
