Raytheon IIS/GIS provides Operations and Maintenance support for the Intelligence Community Job Description: This position will support an enterprise Information Technology O&M program filling a position in Alice Springs Australia. The Computer Network Technologist will install, test, and repair telecommunication and information technology hardware, software, and circuits to include, Desktop workstations, telephones, LAN switches and routers. The Computer Network Technologist will review and recommend improvements to operation, maintenance, and inspection procedures and techniques. The Computer Network Technologist will analyze, troubleshoot and repair equipment and circuit failures. The Computer Network Technologist may assist problem management network engineers perform root cause analysis of chronic or persistent incidents, and recommend / implement corrective solutions. The Computer Network Technologist will interact with users resolving problems; Applicant could be asked to provide basic application training and is required to maintain awareness of state-of-the-art office automation technology. The candidate could also be asked to work a 12 hour rotating shift support a 24/7 tech control center performing the tasks mentioned above. In addition the applicant will be responsible for creating and updating Visio drawings along with enterprise databases to document equipment and connectivity. Work location is Alice Springs, Australia. Position is a two-year tour with multiple tours possible. Basic Qualifications - Required Experience, Skills: · Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science or related hard science subject and two years’ experience, or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree · Experience in planning, installing and programming Cisco, Juniper, Foundry routers and/or LAN switches · Individual and eligible dependents must have the ability to satisfy requirements for applicable visas to work and/or reside in Australia · Individual and family must successfully pass medical and psychological examinations prior to being selected for the position · Must have a current Security+ certification · Must have current Security+ and become 8570 IAT Level II certified within 6 months of start date if not already certified · Must have a current and active TS/SCI Security Clearance Current TS/SCI Education Required (including major): Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science or related hard science subject 100718
