Accenture, one of the world’s leading professional services firms, has a rare opening within its dynamic ANZ Marketing and Communications team – for a gifted public relations and communications specialist. Specifically, we are seeking a switched-on and results-driven professional who knows the media and– can professionally manage issues and influence across a diverse eco-system of players.

Reporting to the ANZ Corporate Communications Lead, the role involves:

Providing strategic communications support to the Australian and New Zealand business

Helping drive greater proactive media activity in support of the strategic themes

Acting as a liaison between media and Accenture corporate communications, focusing on proactive pitches and reactive media enquiries

Facilitating media interviews – from briefing to execution

Developing media materials including media releases, executive briefing documents and pitches

Reviewing global media materials to identify relevant content that could be targeted to Australian media

Working closely with client teams to increase proactive win announcements and client references

Assisting to cultivate, grow and leverage industry influencers to drive the communications strategy

Providing internal issues management support to the local business

Managing internal media monitoring, reporting and analysis

To be considered for this opportunity you must have:

A relevant tertiary qualification and have a minimum of five years’ experience working in a similar role;

Excellent organisational and time management skills are essential, as is a proven track record of successfully managing multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously;

Experience dealing with the media and public relations agencies;

A strong attention to detail, and excellent editing and proofreading skills;

Excellent grammar and a strong commercial aptitude;

Experience working with complex or technical subject matter will be highly regarded;

A willing to work outside of standard hours as required for media opportunities, and the ability to travel.
