Position Overview

As EBC Manager you will be responsible for employer engagement activities within an employment region that are generated and managed by the EBC. A key part of the role will be to develop strategic relationships with key industries to assist account managers to develop business and generate employment opportunities for MAX job seekers. You will be responsible for driving MAX employer engagement activities across the employment region through the EBC whilst also working in conjunction with MAX sites within the employment region.

You will have direct responsibility for Account Managers and Employment Service Consultants who will drive employer engagement and the filling of vacancies to meet employer needs. As the Manager you will be responsible for driving individual and team performance through monitoring employer contacts and relationships using tools such as Salesforce, MAX-CONNECT and other MAX reporting tools.

The successful applicant will have experience in Sales as well as Leadership / Management experience, be a good communicator, have strong business development skills and demonstrate a high level of organisational, planning and management skills to mentor, motivate and drive the team to success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop an employer engagement strategy that will build a community profile and meet the employment needs of key businesses and employers within the employment region

  • Through the Account Managers, develop and actively seek out new business and partnerships that will meet MAX caseload employment needs within the employment region

  • Manage employer relationships such that it assists in achieving long-term sustainable employment opportunities for MAX job seekers

  • Promote and foster an excellent working relationship with MAX sites within the employment region to assist in providing employment opportunities for their job seekers to compliment their own placement and employer activity

  • Manage the practices and processes to meet compliance activities around filling of vacancies for our employers and job seekers in a timely manner

  • Manage individual and team KPI’s including targets, vacancy fill rates, employer contacts

  • Input into national and state employer engagement strategies to drive employer engagement and placement activity across the employment region

  • Identify and implement employer engagement activities across the employment region to enhance performance

  • Input into strategic development of Work for the Dole activities in the employment region to compliment business and employer needs

  • Work cooperatively with Work for the Dole coordinators/manager to assist in placement of job seekers from Work for the Dole activities into sustainable employment

  • To liaise with line Managers of Work for the Dole, apprenticeship and tracking staff located within the EBC

  • Comply with all WHS procedures ensuring that team members including volunteers and contractors abide by all relevant health and safety procedures

  • Act as a role model by demonstrating safe work behaviours and report all accidents, incidents or near misses immediately.

Required Experience

  • A minimum of two years working experience in a similar role or management position

  • Strong analytical, leadership and managerial abilities

  • Human resources experience would be an advantage

  • Recent customer engagement and development experience

Qualifications

Qualifications in any of the following disciplines are preferred: Health, Human Services, Business, Human Resource management, Marketing, Training, Education, Customer Service or Employment Services. Alternatively, industry/practical experience with demonstration of the above mentioned competencies.
