Working within the VERINT Managed Services team typically onsite in customer facing environment. The Technical Consultant role is to provide development and configuration expertise for the VERINT Engagement Management Platforms. In addition you will be required to provide 2 nd Level Support activities and will be responsible for ensuring high quality support for VERINT Customers. As a professional employee you will assist with delivery of enhancements and resolution of defects .

Key Accountabilities:

Business Process Development

  • Verint Engagement Management Development of Enhancements

  • Challenge Requirements through appropriate channels

  • Utilise appropriate integration mechanisms (SOAP, JMS, JDBC etc) to interface with external systems

  • Implement custom user interfaces using core web technologies (HTML, css, javascript)

  • Utilise appropriate technologies (Linux, MS SQL, Windows Server, Java Containers such as JBOSS and Tomcat)

  • Support the delivery project

  • Report progress to Project Manager/Team Leader

  • Provide estimates of new functionality to the Project Manager

  • Be aware of project business aims as well as implementation requirements

  • Provide input to and review project Impact Assessment and Change Control collateral

  • Ensure adherence to design

  • Align to Technical System Specification

  • Adhere to Technical Best Practice defined by Technical Architect

  • Ensure code/processes meet project non-functional requirements for performance, throughput, robustness, scalability etc

Support and Maintenance

  • Verint Engagement Management support and maintenance

  • Provide 2nd level application support to business users

  • Provide infrastructure support to project teams

  • Implement changes as delivered by project or business teams

  • Maintain multiple environments ensuring changes are consistently applied

  • Respond to and resolve incidents

  • Perform root cause analysis and problem investigations

  • Monitor infrastructure, creating/extending checks and metrics where necessary

  • Monitor backups and perform restoration activities or liaise with external department for these activities where necessary

  • Advising and remaining up to date on best practice for future considerations

  • Provide input into SLA reporting and diagnosis of incidents

  • Verint Engagement Management Testing and quality processes

  • Participate in the code review process

  • Complete unit testing and code reviews for enhancements prior to becoming release candidates

  • Work with/project customer test teams

  • Communication of status of defect fixes, issues and concerns to the Test team

  • Coordinating the release of new software into the SDLC environments including release notes

  • Perform integration testing

The ideal candidate should demonstrate the following key skills and attributes:

  • Bachelors Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or a related discipline

  • A strong problem solver who can think divergently, incisively and pragmatically

  • 3+ years in an IT or Support related role

  • Strong experience with Linux and Windows operating systems

  • SQL Database troubleshooting and administration

  • Experience of Networks (TCP/IP)

  • Knowlegde of Databases and SQL

  • Software Delivery Lifecycle experience

  • Experience with Java Application development

  • Flexible, adaptable and quick to learn

  • Enthusiastic about and focused on achieving clients’ goals

  • Self-motivated, takes ownership and demonstrates initiative

  • A team player who can also work independently and manage their own time

  • Able to form rapport with and work with diverse groups of colleagues and clients from a variety of personal and professional backgrounds

  • Good understanding of technology and how it can deliver business benefits

  • Effective communication skills (verbal & written)

On commencement to the role VERINT will provide training specific to the VERINT Engagement Management Platforms. Training will be delivered using a variety training methods and on the job support.

This role may involve domestic or international travel.
