The Graduate Engineer is the entry level job in the Engineering Job Family. They work closely with the Engineering Team and acquire the ability to make configurations, action installations and attend to break/fix events at a medium complexity level. The individual functions in an environment of lower complexity to that of Engineers, however works closely with Engineers and Senior Engineers. They conduct site audits and prepare associated documentation. A Graduate Engineer develops the ability to start 'owning' portions of an installation, break/fix incidents and problem management. The Graduate Engineer has a basic understanding and appreciation of technical design principles. The individual develops an understanding of fundamental project management and administration processes. Graduate Engineers display a strong learning orientation. They have good verbal communication skills and are able to assist a team to ensure their success. The Graduate Engineer should demonstrate competent writing skills including diagram creation. They demonstrate a client service orientation and have a hands-on proactive approach. Next Career step is an Engineer.

Ensure client satisfaction
Ensure operational hardware on client site
Ensure operational software on client site
Interact and co-operate with vendors
Own and resolve problems
Pre-configure hardware before installation on client site
Pre-configure software before installation on client site
Takes responsibility for the delivery of a solution or installation
Provide telephonic, remote and on-site support to clients
Provides inputs and guidance to continuously improve internal systems, services and processes
Displays in-depth subject matter expertise
What would make you a good fit for this role?
Here's what we are looking for in candidates for this job
Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g. Engineering, Computer and Information Sciences, Applied Mathematics, Information Technology, Information Systems or Business)
Understanding of networking concepts
more than 1 year experience working in IT services in a corporate environment
Australian Citizenship and the willingness to undergo vetting for Australian Federal Government Security Clearance
You will also need the ability to:
Develop core technical and business skills by attending Professional Services specific training and development programs as required. Knowledge of these programs will be acquired by either (1) On the job training or (2) formal internal and external training courses and will cover specific required technical training
Act as a corporate citizen
