Dell Sr Advisor Delivery Specialist in Canberra, Australia

Job Description:

General Summary

Performs a technical leading role delivering Professional Services engagements including Solution Consulting, Design/Implement and Residency services as a member of the Dell EMC Deployment Services Team in Canberra.

This role includes working closely with Federal Government and Public Sector customers and supporting Account Team strategies to architect, implement, operate and optimise the broad Dell EMC solution portfolio. The role provides varied opportunities to utilise current and further develop technical mastery within the Dell EMC technology stack. Ideal candidates will already possess a track record of active collaboration cross-functionally from Sales through to Support. Have a solid foundation in Enterprise Storage / x86 Virtual Infrastructures and/or Data Protection disciples which is required as core initial experience. Strong documentation skills and experience formulating Configuration, Implementation and Functional Testing documentation is a strong requirement as is the ability to articulate design rationale both internally and to Customers.

Key Dimensions

  • Is accountable for technical design and implementation of Dell EMC solutions.

  • Supports the Project Manager with stakeholder engagement, develops and builds on Customer relationships.

  • Actively collaborate with Sales, Pre-Sales and Support teams to facilitate the smooth transition of projects from Sales - Deployment – Support.

  • Assist with the pursuit of new business opportunities with Account Teams.

  • Compose design artefacts (such as Presentations, Configuration Guides, Implementation Plans, Runbooks and Functional Test Documents).

  • Perform Implement/Test, Issue Diagnosis, Optimisation, Operational Residencies and Migrations

  • Motivation for ongoing development


  • Australian Citizen with minimum NV1 clearance

  • Broad Storage and/or Data Protection Competencies

  • Excellent written, oral and listening capability

  • Good influencing and negotiation skills
