Part Time Process Engineer - 12 month contract

Here at Campbell Arnott's we're after our next talented Process Engineer to join our R&D; team in a part time capacity on a 12 month contract. You will work 3 days a week however we believe in flexibility, so you pick how that is split across the week.
In this role you will beidentifying opportunities for improvement, creating innovative process solutions to gain a tighter process along our manufacturing line which in turn, delivers improvements to production efficiency and a cost saving to the business. There will also be opportunities to work on new technology, processes and technically challenging NPD projects. Your collaborative naturewill see you partner with various teams to review and map processes to implement process improvements seamlessly.
You will have a passion for assessing and determining equipment modifications or improvements to achieve the desired results. You will coordinate and support factory trials drawing on your understanding of existing process functionality and how improvements can be achieved. As part of any new improvement, you will also provide training for operators on the operation of new processing equipment.
So what do you need to bring to such an amazing role?
You will have solid experience in Process Engineering in industries with high GMP or HACCP requirements such as Food, Pharmaceuticals or FMCG. Baking, confectionary, snackfoods or cereal processing experience is extremely desirable. Ideally you will have a degree in Chemical Engineering or Industrial Chemistry. Exposure to Six Sigma methodologies would also be highly regarded.
Your solid record of implementing robust and efficient process solutions that have added value to the business coupled with strong stakeholder skills is key to success. You will grasp new concepts quickly and have the ability to think on your feet. You're an outstanding trouble-shooter making technical decision in real time with the ability to set up equipment to obtain optimum product quality and productivity.
