About the role:
Innovation is a critical growth driver for Diageo Australia, with a strong track record of thought leadership and delivery. Over the past 3 years new products have delivered transformational NSV growth and increased trademark relevance across both full strength bottled spirits and RTD (ready to drink), and innovation has delivered in excess of 80% of total NSV growth.
Innovation in Australia is a global function and part of the APAC innovation hub. It is focussed on developing and delivering strategic, scalable and sustainable innovation that will fundamentally drive local, regional and global performance.
This role represents a fantastic opportunity to demonstrate strong cross functional leadership, to take great ideas through to execution, to work across multiple categories and to influence and align a broad base of local, regional and global stakeholders

You’ll support the delivery of the innovation strategy for our local market. The agenda is challenging and will be achieved by the creation of highly differentiated and superior brands, products and delivery systems, which satisfy both consumer and customer needs.
The role covers innovation “end to end”; from strategic opportunity identification, through ideation and concept development to commercialisation.
• Deliver commercially grounded innovation projects at agreed scale on time and in budget.
• Identification and delivery of incremental and transformational ideas to drive organic growth utilising expert strategic, ideation, concept development and commercialisation skills.
• Lead and influence cross functional project teams (Marketing, Customer Marketing, Supply, Technical, Legal and Financial) agencies and local exec.
• Creation of highly differentiated consumer bundles using consumer insight and purposeful creativity..
What you’ll bring to the table:
• Graduate Degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing
• 3+ years work experience at or above brand manager level
• Proven ability in:
o Leveraging consumer, shopper and customer insights
o Developing consumer and customer driven strategy
o Developing & managing all elements of the marketing mix
o Innovation delivery
o Delivering successful projects by leading a cross-functional team
o Influencing peers and executive level in both a local & global context
