Position Title 3D CAD Technician
Australia - South Australia
Due to an increase in key infrastructure projects in the Melbourne region we now have an exciting opportunity for a 3D CAD Technician to join the AECOM team! This will be a fantastic opportunity to work on some of the region’s largest projects whilst expanding and developing your career within the Civil Infrastructure space.
The role will involve delivering designs/drawings that meet the project brief within the given deadlines and complying with relevant QA, drafting and technical standards. You will understand project costs/budgets and assist with bid preparation. There will be a strong emphasis on client engagement and coordinating small teams of drafters to complete project deliverables. There will also be the opportunity to mentor, coach and develop junior members of staff.
Minimum 10 years of experience
Experienced in 3D CAD Design - Expert in AutoCAD 3D
Extensive mechanical plant design experience including above-ground pipework and systems design.
Experience in working with multi-disciplinary teams, to develop 3D CAD models
Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills
Ability to work to tight deadlines in a pressurised environment
Water or process industry design experience
Experience in AutoCAD Plant 3D Design
Experience in Revit.
Experience in CAD of civil and structural design
Leadership of project CAD teams
