The Teradata International Sales Operations Team is focused on supporting sales management in driving overall effectiveness and efficiency for field initiatives including the following areas:

  1. Sales Strategy and Account Development

  2. Talent Development

  3. Solution Deployment

  4. Sales Tools & Technology

  5. Sales Process execution

  6. Sales Operations Metrics & Measurement

Area Sales Operations Manager

This position reports into the Sales Operations Director for the International region and is strategically aligned (“dotted line reporting”) to the Area Vice President. The role will be part of the Area Leadership Team. The role has operational responsibility within the given Area for enabling and executing the initiatives described above and detailed below.

Key Areas of Responsibility include:

  1. Sales Strategy & Account Development:
  • Deployment of Account Planning Methodology

  • Strategic Account Management aligned to GTM plan.

  • Account content & sales deliverables (playbooks)

  1. Talent Management & Skills Development for sales teams
  • Critical skills definition/Individual Development

  • Training curriculum to support onboarding, mentoring & sales career development

  • Facilitate Onboarding and support mentoring network.

  1. Solution Deployment (in cooperation with the International Deployment function)
  • Field communications management

  • Collateral & IP Capture and Knowledge Management

  1. Sales Tools & Technology
  • Dissemination of sales tools (I.e. account management and CRM tools)

  • Integration of account plan best-in-class processes

  1. Sales Process Best Practice Execution:
  • Facilitate process adherence

  • Promote best practice transfer

  1. Sales Operations Metrics & Measurement
  • KPI tracking for sales and services reporting tools

Candidate must work closely with Area VP’s and fully understand their operational requirements as they execute strategies to achieve annual objectives. It is required that the candidate have or must develop a strong working knowledge of Teradata’s go to market strategy and solutions portfolio. Where applicable, an understanding and use of Teradata internal systems, organizational structure, and ability to work within a multi-discipline team is highly desirable.  

Education and Experience Requirements:

The candidate must have 5 years’ experience in the high-tech industry with experience in any or all the following disciplines: Sales, Sales Support, Business Operations and/or Marketing. The candidate must have a fundamental understanding of “go-to-market” processes & the ability to work in a strong sales culture.

Experience and knowledge within the Advanced Analytics & Decision Support industry is a strong advantage.

The candidate must exhibit:

  • strong leadership skills and demonstrate self-motivation

  • have strong oral and written communication skills

  • ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a team environment

  • Microsoft Office suite expertise is required with strong presentation skills and ability to present to large groups and confident in managing executive relationship

Bachelor’s degree in business or technical field required. MBA desirable but not required.

The role will be based in APAK with regular travel to support the APAK area.
