To work with colleagues and external customers to understand business and product requirements and document requirement and functional specifications in such a way as to ensure business, customer and regulatory acceptance.
Execute the requirements engineering aspects of a development project including elicitation, documentation, and change management throughout the engineering life-cycle * Understand the parent (business) requirements and work with a project engineering team to design and implement a chosen candidate solution that meets those requirements * Understand the systems, how they work, and participate in the business requirements gathering process Job Description: Leica Biosystems designs and manufactures medical device products for use in Histopathology Laboratories. The incumbent will be participating in all phases of our development life cycle including requirement gathering, analysis, coordination of development, and supporting deployment of our products as used by customers all around the world. Additionally, the incumbent will be supporting the Product Owner by acting as the technical SME working with our other engineering and support teams to integrate new features and services into the our medical device platforms.
Major Responsibilities * Act as the Domain Authority/Subject Matter Expert within a product programme; * Work with customers and stakeholders to establish user (customer/business) needs; * Coordinate the elicitation, prioritisation, documentation of programme and/or product requirements; * Own, and be responsible for, the programme release backlog; * Collaborate with Product Management/Owners to prioritise the programme release backlog; * Establish key non-functional requirements at the programme and/or product level; * Work with the Systems Engineering team to develop an architectural runway / release train;
Knowledge and Experience Required: * Tertiary qualification in engineering or science discipline * Experience in an Agile development environment, preferably as the Product Owner of a Scrum team * An appreciation of the importance of requirements traceability within and across projects * Understanding of the SDLC and associated processes * Experience conducting requirements workshops * Excellent presentation & communication skills * Strong analytical and problem solving skills * Experience using requirements management tools eg Requisite Pro, DOORS or Quality Centre To Apply: Leica Biosystems is committed to attracting and retaining the most highly qualified candidates available.
