Process Engineer & WCM Coordinator
Main Job Purpose:
A new opportunity has become available for an experienced Process Engineer & WCM (World Class Manufacturing) Coordinator to join our team. This is a permanent, full time role for an experienced Automation Engineering to join a leading manufacturing company operating in a lean manufacturing space. You will be a member of the Management Team responsible for technical/process production support and leading the World Class Manufacturing (WCM) program at Unilever’s Streets Ice Cream Factory, based in Minto.
Reporting to the Factory Director, this role provides technical/process support to the Operations, Quality and Safety teams through continuous improvement based on WCM methodology and leads the Manufacturing Excellence programme for the factory, working with Site managers and Leadership team to execute continuous improvement initiatives to drive performance.
Manage all factory technical change and development ensuring performance, cost, safety and quality targets are met.
Work with the Factory Leadership team and deliver excellent service in supporting production, maintenance and technical improvements across production lines.
Lead Focused Improvement activities and deliver agreed results in conjunction with the site WCM master plan.
Build effective relationships with Manufacturing and Production Leaders to aid identification of key improvement areas across production lines.
Provide technical support for breakdowns across production lines and mixing plants.
Conduct, participate in identifying root causes, review risk assessments and provide solutions.
Key contact for the global ManEx team for WCM on site, including introduction of key initiatives, new methods and tools that drive performance improvement.
Coaching of staff and blue collar workforce on site in best practice manufacturing and improvement opportunities.
Assist in providing and developing data management systems that enable management of plant performance and measurement of improvements.
Tertiary qualified in Automation (preferred), Mechatronic or Electrical Engineering.
Experience in a similar role within FMCG, manufacturing or automotive industry.
Solid knowledge of WCM, TPM, Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
Experience in implementation of TPM or WCM programs.
Ability to manage projects and controllingexpenditure.
Strong influencing, training and stakeholder management skills.
Exceptional analytical, planning, problem solving and communications skills.
