Main Kitchen - Within one of the largest and most sophisticated banqueting facilities within a hotel in Sydney, the Main Kitchen is responsible for the smooth running of our banqueting and events from a culinary perspective. Servicing the largest event banquet space of all hotels in Sydney, Sous Chef of our main kitchen offers the opportunity to lead some on the most experienced banqueting chefs and create truly spectacular and seasonal food for a volume operation.
In this role you will work as a member of the brigade working in the Pastry Section in of our Main Kitchen which is responsible for our banqueting and events. You will be required to oversee and support more junior chefs who work with you.
- Previous experience working within a Pastry Kitchen
- Exceptional culinary skills and a sound knowledge of a variety of different cooking styles
- Strong leadership, communication and people skills
- Solid understanding of HACCP and the ability to ensure standards are maintained
- A true passion for food and customer serviceT
