Qualifications

The Digital Field Marketing team at Marriott International, is currently looking for a Digital Specialist to join their award winning team.

This position will be responsible for the execution of key digital initiatives across an assigned portfolio of hotels. The role has a primary objective of achieving direct sales-related KPIs through company-owned websites via the full spectrum of digital channels on property, cluster, regional and continent-wide levels. The role is also tasked with a secondary objective of managing and optimizing third party/OTA performance.

This role would suit a digital agency Account Executive looking for a move client-side or a hospitality marketer with a couple of years' experience who's keen to pursue a career with the world's largest hotel operator.

The position reports directly into the Director, Digital Field Marketing ANZ and Pacific Region.

SCOPE OF CORE SERVICES

Manage a portfolio of selected properties within the Pacific region.

Coordinate with hotel sales and marketing teams and agencies to implement digital marketing tactics across the assigned portfolio.

Create landing pages to support segmented marketing campaigns to reinforce hotel USPs and execute plan to drive share from specific target / niche markets.

Launch tactical destination and hotel-specific marketing campaigns.

Ensure alignment with divisional activity and that promotional components are optimized across the assigned portfolio.

Manage PPC, display, paid social and performance channels.

Manage of SEO, ownership of official social media accounts and digital local marketing presence (Google My Business, Bing Places for Business etc).

Manage property-specific content, including photography and video, across all consumer-facing systems, including individual property sites, parent brand sites and destination sites.

Management of brand website content, ensuring consistency for each hotel with its relevant brand.

Implement and manage key digital platforms (restaurants / meetings / spa, etc.) and develop best practices to achieve increased presence and incremental revenue for hotels in portfolio.

Activate owned marketing channels to maximize campaign reach and impact (brand sites, email marketing, special offer pages, etc.) in order to drive room and ancillary revenue streams for hotels

Test campaign messaging and creative to determine relevancy across segments and to optimize conversion and overall performance.

Provide guidance on individual hotels' use of social media and assist with implementation when required.

Management of third party site / OTA content and performance.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Education:College and/or graduate degree

Experience:

BS required, preferably in Communications, Marketing or Business

Strong understanding of the digital environment as a distribution and marketing / engagement channel

Experience with digital marketing / direct response campaigns with external web agency

Experience working with external agencies (e.g. media, creative)

Excellent communication skills; Demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy

Organized, detail-oriented and deadline-sensitive

Strong customer service orientation essential; Takes initiative, anticipates needs

Digitally fluent and fast-learner. Knowledge of basic HTML, Omniture and Google Analytics a plus.

2 years digital marketing experience, preferably with agency or hospitality/travel background

Experience in a matrix organization is a plus
