American Express Reporting Analyst - Executive Office in New South Wales, Australia

As the Reporting Analyst you will be responsible for business performance reporting and analysis for the Global Commercial Payments (GCP) Executive Office across the Japan, Asia Pacific and Australia (JAPA) region. Whilst your main objective is to support the GCP Executive office, you will also have the opportunity to work with a variety of other business units on an ad hoc basis to support their year-end planning initiatives and business needs.

Key accountabilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Supporting the development and production of monthly business performance reporting including the production of monthly Senior Leadership report packs and driving regional and international initiatives such as reporting standardization

  • Partnering with key stakeholders such as Business planners & analysts, offshore reporting team and Production support team

  • Performing analysis spanning all markets and channels in the JAPA region. This includes creating PowerPoint presentations and providing insights and recommendations as required to support Senior Leadership as well as other business units when required

  • Supporting periodic deliverables such as modeling, reporting & analysis, regional and international projects and initiatives, regional planning & forecasting and individual level target setting

  • Ensuring compliance to American Express Information Security Standard

  • Tertiary qualification in Finance or Accounting preferred

  • Highly developed analytical and problem solving skills

  • Effective communication and presentation skills

  • Required technical skills include:

    • Advanced Excel skills essential (specifically from a modeling, planning and forecasting perspective)
    • Advanced PowerPoint and Database skills
    • SAS Enterprise Guide and Salesforce.com knowledge will also be highly regarded Why American Express
