American Express Sales Reporting Manager - JAPA in New South Wales, Australia

As part of the Data Strategy and Insights (DS&I) team the Sales Reporting Manager will be responsible for sales performance reporting & analysis for the American Express Global Commercial Payments (GCP) business across the Japan, Asia Pacific Australia (JAPA) region.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Create deep-dive Sales performance reporting and analysis spanning all markets and regions. This includes the development and production of Sales performance reporting, modelling and analysis and provide insights and commentary to key internal stakeholders

  • Regional Planning and Forecasting and individual and Leader level target setting

  • Driving regional and international projects and initiatives including partnering with International counterparts to understand and contribute to cross-regional projects and initiatives and translating initiatives from strategy and theory to daily business practice

  • Driving vision & thought leadership to the planner community within GCP JAPA by providing guidance and influence to support regional and international processes

  • Management and development of two analysts. This includes all aspects of leadership including the Performance Management, coaching & development

  • Ensuring compliance to American Express Information Security Standards        

    As an integral member of the JAPA Data Strategy and Insight team you will have highly developed analytical and problem solving skills combined with high attention to detail and an obsessive commitment to quality and accuracy. As a leader you will ideally have previous people leadership experience, however it will be your strong team work ethic, excellent communication & presentation skills and ability to influence and drive results that will be crucial to your success in this role. Furthermore you will be tertiary qualified with an MBA or other professional qualification highly regarded.

    Technically, Advanced MS Excel (specifically in modelling, planning and forecasting) and MS PowerPoint are essential for this role. Previous experience with Salesforce.com as well as SAS Enterprise Guide or other database knowledge will also be highly regarded.
