Provide engineering input and review across our new build façade projects
Mentor and assist junior engineering staff
Provide engineering certification on projects as appropriate
Lead and deliver our technically complex projects including detailed design projects
Lead or contribute to the engineering design on our façade projects, ensuring work quality is maintained at the expected standard

Façade Engineer Role:
Provide technical engineering input on projects, ensuring work quality is maintained at the expected standard.
Actively participate in skill development activities within the Facade Business, including mentoring and teaching and supporting junior engineering staff.
Provide façade design advice and designs to architects and clients on buildings projects.
Coordinate the response of supporting technical specialists within the Façade Group.
Take responsibility for façade documentation including calculations, certification, drawings and specifications.
Effectively manage the time, quality and performance of projects.
Contribute to the maintenance of the Intranet-based Project Plan (IPP) on all projects.
Establish, monitor and keep up to date a resource and invoicing plan on projects.
Participate in project reviews and other risk management activities as per the IPP.
Assist in preparing tender submissions.
Build relationships with key clients on projects and develop and maintain client relationship plans.
Develop contacts with the façade industry.
Where appropriate, liaise with other business groups within the region.
Bachelor Degree in Structural Engineering or similar.
Be a chartered engineer capable of providing engineering design certification as appropriate
Have experience in how the engineering design of façade systems impacts the system design in terms of waterproofing and airtightness, and the architectural intent
Ability to independently undertake project analyses, and report on results.
Experience in the consulting environment, including the ability to advise clients on cost-effective, sustainable solutions.
Minimum 8 years’ experience specifically related to engineering design of facades.
