Job Summary:

A permanent, full time opportunity has becomeavailable for an experienced Electrical/ControlsEngineer to join our Unilever Factory in NorthRocks. This role will provide support in technical tasks as well as manage thedesign, selection, procurement, installation and commissioning of equipmentrequired to meet our manufacturing objectives. The Electrical/Controls Engineershares responsibility for cost estimates and monitoring project expenditure whichwill involve contact with suppliers and contractors. This position will alsohave the support of a team of seven experienced Electricians.

  • Provide specialist advice and service in theareas of electrical and controls engineering

  • Plan, prioritise and review Electrical/Controlsimprovement work with production teams

  • Deliver projects as well as electrical andcontrol elements of new installations

  • Advise the Engineering Leader and Factory LeadershipTeam on up-to-date developments in order to keep the operating system withinWorld Class Standards

  • Work collaboratively with team members

* Key Requirements: *

  • Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering(preferred) or Electrical Trades Certificate with a Control System background

  • Min. 5 years’ experience in a similar role withmanufacturing or FMCG

  • Sound knowledge of PLC programming – forexample Siemens S7, PCS7 & Allen Bradley

  • Able to manage project work from designthrough to commissioning - including the ability to controlexpenditure budgets and allocate andassign funding

  • Ableto design and complete schematic diagrams and electrical drawings

  • Anunderstanding of TPM/WCM principles (preferred)

  • Demonstratestrong interpersonal and communication skills

  • “Cando” attitude with a strong focus on safety
