* MAIN JOB PURPOSE:*

This is an exciting opportunity for you to be a Senior Packaging Technologist as part of the R&D Deploy team for Skin Care and Skin Cleansing categories in Australia and New Zealand. The Skin Care and Skin Cleansing team in ANZ operate across a number of packaging formats within the fast paced Personal Care category. The role will support local manufacturing at Unilever sourcing units, local 3rdparties and support a range of imported products from across the globe. Packaging is an essential part of delighting consumers, shoppers and customers whilst keeping efficiency and sustainability front of mind.

* JOB SUMMARY*

  • Deliver all packaging activities for Skin Care and Cleansing in ANZ, managing multiple projects often with short lead times, on time and in full.

  • Work closely as a team with local R&D deploy, brand, supply chain, customer, procurement and other stakeholders.

  • Work closely with Global and Regional R&D teams to help deliver innovation that is right for ANZ.

  • Deploy global primary packaging designs and some design work for local activities.

  • Design and Deploy secondary packaging, with a good understanding of shelf friendly packaging and distribution requirements that meet customer requirements.

  • Working with local and global suppliers to validate and approve packaging components.

  • Work with manufacturing and quality to ensure efficient roll out of innovation and ensure on-going quality of our products.

  • Be an active part of artwork briefing and approving.

  • Develop and maintain specifications, generate codes in SAP.

  • Work closely with 3rdparty suppliers, brief and help set up 3rdparty packing activities. * KEY REQUIREMENTS*

  • Previous experience in and a good understanding of packaging technology, ideally with experience in rigid plastics, tubes, decoration, carton and corrugated board.

  • Experienced at leading multiple projects, setting up project networks and delivering on time, keeping stakeholders informed of progress.

  • Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams with the drive and ability to control own work programme and make own decisions when required.

  • Understanding of artwork briefing and approving, following artwork excellence process.

  • Ability to communicate effectively across different stakeholders.

  • Show experience of problem solving capability and optimising packaging for value.

  • Tertiary degree in Engineering, Technical or packaging qualification preferred.
