Position Description

As part of the overall OC ANZ Applications Practice, the SaaS Practice Manager will be responsible for developing & managing a high performance team, dedicated to building strategic value-add customer relationships, providing best in class services and ensuring customer satisfaction. To achieve this, the SaaS leader would develop the SaaS delivery team, foster alignment with internal stakeholders and drive operational excellence, whilst supporting best-in-class customer engagement and enabling the expansion of the Oracle customer base.

Responsibilities would be to:

  • Own the OC ANZ Application Practice’s SaaS budget, including Revenue, Utilization, Headcount & Profitability

  • Motivate and develop an assigned team of highly skilled Consulting professionals around Oracle’s SaaS Applications stack to drive high performance, individual and career growth

  • Be a hands-on leader with high levels of energy, passion, creativity and enthusiasm and maintain a personal billable utilization of 30%

  • Define, measure & assess group goals and the SaaS team’s performance against specific target objectives

  • Direct and ensure the implementation of operational policies within team

  • Establish strong, lasting and collaborative relationships with the Oracle Sales Field organization and other LOB’s to ensure the success & growth of the team

  • Build customer & partner relationships to ensure high service delivery

  • Manage and negotiate escalations for internal issues and between Oracle and customers/partners to achieve positive outcome and influence policy

  • Contribute to the strategic direction of the OC ANZ Applications Practice through participating in internal Practice management initiatives

  • Work closely with OC Sales & Cloud Specialists to prepare new SaaS offerings, enable sales & be at the forefront of knowledge on Oracle’s SaaS product stack as well as understanding of competitor offerings


The OC ANZ SaaS Applications will manage the business operations and resources of the SaaS Team.

Duties will include

  • People management, portfolio/delivery management and sales enablement related to the SaaS team

  • Accountable for operational/financial metrics and overall business results of SaaS team

  • Responsible for maintaining strategic direction, ensuring profitable growth of the SaaS team, quality of consulting delivery, and maintaining customer reference ability.

  • Develops strategy and plans to successfully implement operational policies and achieve business objectives.

  • Accountable for managing and growing a significant revenue stream and customer base.

  • Typically manages multiple senior & junior level individual contributors.

  • Resolves staffing issue in complex engagements. May serve as advisor or project sponsor role for moderately complex engagements.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience relevant to the position, including 5 years of Consulting Leadership experience

  • Direct line Management experience including project, people, customer, financial management preferred

  • Experience on SaaS architecture, design, implementation and roadmap planning

  • Senior-level Customer facing skills to represent Oracle SaaS with the customer and drive discussions regarding trade-offs, best practices, project management and risk mitigation.

  • Knowledge of Oracle SaaS products in one domain is essential & reasonable knowledge across other Oracle SaaS stacks as well.

  • Experience in establishing and effectively managing a delivery team

  • Strong track record with management and/or commercial experience

  • People management/leadership experience

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills

  • Ability to work within a highly competitive and complex environment

  • Able to work with customers and convince customers of the benefits of moving to the cloud, including familiarity with architecture blueprinting & roadmap definition

  • Able to articulate solutions with respect to business requirements of the customer

  • Able to network and develop strong business relationships with License Sales Reps and End customers such that they turn to Oracle for their resource needs. This should include coverage to 'C' level execs.

  • Able to build & foster strong internal relationships with multiple cross-LoB channels. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others.

  • Able to work with Oracle Product Engineering and support teamsto review product issues and resolve customer problems

  • Ability to travel as needed

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

This manager-level position is responsible for a segment within a given practice focused on a specific industry, service line, technology center, specialty area or region. Responsible for managing the three main pillars of a practice: people management, portfolio/delivery management and sales enablement. Has profit and loss responsibility or financial/expense management of practice.

Accountable for operational/financial metrics and overall business results of practice. Responsible for maintaining practice direction, ensuring quality of consulting delivery, and maintaining customer referenceability. Ensures that operational policies are followed and that business objectives are achieved by focusing on best practices and process improvements. Develops plans to successfully implement operational policies and achieves business plan. Is accountable for managing and growing a revenue stream and customer base. Typically manages individual contributors. May serve as advisor for moderately complex engagements.

8 years of experience relevant to this position including 4 years of consulting experience and 2 years of project management leadership experience. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. Can lead, engage, mobilize and motivate multiple teams to accomplish goals. Product, technology or industry expertise relevant to the practice focus. Ability to travel as needed.
