Senior Data-Driven Marketing Strategist

We are seeking an experienced data-driven marketing strategist to join the Strategic Consulting team, based in Sydney or Melbourne, Australia.

The role will entail:

  • Data-driven Marketing: digging in the data, finding insights and then using those insights to guide recommendations into how clients can create individualised cross-channel marketing experiences for their customers.

  • Data Analysis: working with email disposition data – transforming raw historical data into trend reports, customer segmentation, customer insights

  • Strategic Services: delivering results in a dynamic analytics environment – shifting priorities, developing innovative solutions to problems, balancing client deliverables and priorities effectively

  • Strategic Solutions for Marketing Services: Work with Sales, Account Management, Project Management and Technical Services to deliver strategic advice and solutions to prospects and clients.

  • Marketing Strategy: Creating customer-first analytics and initiatives that drive smart marketing decisions and improve overall program ROI.

  • Customer Analytics, Targeting and Optimization: develop customer-centric CRM strategies that help marketers segment customers, understand customer value, and develop scalable, targeted marketing programs.

  • Cross-channel Integration: build actionable, integrated marketing programs that leverage the increasingly interdependent roles of social, email, website, display, and mobile.

  • World-class Marketing Experience: leverage best-in-class marketing insights by tapping into experience working with world-class marketers.

  • Leadership: Provides leadership across key strategic accounts.

  • Process and relationships: Works with other parts of the business to embed strategy process into the approach and ensures that the role of strategy is well understood and adopted.

  • Thought leadership: Provides thought leadership and develops new methods and approaches for delivering strategic value on client accounts.

Skills required

The successful candidate will possess 7-10 years of experience as a marketing analyst. The role requires good working knowledge of automatic marketing systems. You will be providing insights, advice and tangible solutions to some of Australia’s largest and most sophisticated marketers and brands.

An experienced consulting professional who has a broad understanding of solutions, industry best practices, multiple business processes or technology designs within a product/technology family. Operates independently to provide quality work products to an engagement. Performs varied and complex duties and tasks that need independent judgment, in order to implement Oracle products and technology to meet customer needs. Applies Oracle methodology, company procedures, and leading practices.

May act as the team lead on projects, providing coaching, guidance and feedback to develop skills of team members. Effectively consults with management of customer organizations. Participates in business development activities. Develops and leads detailed solutions for moderately complex projects.

6-8 years of experience relevant to this position including 3-4 years consulting experience preferred. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience preferred. Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to build rapport with team members and clients. Ability to travel as needed.
