This position is responsible for selling CA Technologies’ DEV OPS / Continuous Delivery solutions into accounts leading to the achievement of assigned quota targets. The successful candidate will be both customer centric and solutions oriented. This is more of a ‘hunter’ role, than ‘farmer’.

  • Responsibilities*

  • Eliminate the barriers between ideas and outcomes for our customers through the introduction and use of CA Technologies’ solutions to solve their business challenges

  • Gain a thorough understanding of the clients' business and the industry in which they compete, the corresponding IT initiatives and identify the needs which CA can help resolve

  • Develop compelling business value proposals for our solutions and close the business

  • Develop and maintain trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and influencers in assigned accounts

  • Contribute to developing and driving an effective and efficient sales strategy

  • Work closely with sales colleagues in a matrix to drive complex sales opportunities from identification and qualification through to closure

  • Skills & Experience*

  • Excellent knowledge of the DEV OPS marketplace

  • Significant experience selling DEV OPS solutions

  • Ability to align DEV OPS solutions to customer priorities and potentially reframing the way customers view their business - linking business priorities to value propositions.

  • Influencing skills across a wide range of customer stakeholders and oral and written communications that are impactful and persuasive with the intended audience.

  • Ability to qualify and quantify the impact of maintaining the status quo or pursuing competitors' solutions compared to CA Technologies’ DEV OPS solutions.

  • Proactively advance the purchase decision without rushing the customer.

  • Ability to learn new technology within the context of being able to sell CA Technologies’ DEV OPS solutions - understand specific domain products, how to identify the solution to best meet the customers' business needs and how to appropriately position DEV OPS

  • Effectively manage territory and accounts; establish accurate plans and forecasts; prioritize; generate short-term results while holding a long-term perspective to maximize overall territory viability. Lead and coordinate internal/external resources to effectively pursue opportunities.

  • Understand key aspects of business, e.g., business models and competitive positioning; also understand how business operates, including role of structure, systems, and processes; can speak in business language when applying professional expertise.
