The Sydney-based Environment and Planning group is an enthusiastic and focused team with a mix of environmental scientists, environmental engineers, planners and community engagement specialists, and we are seeking a driven individual to join our team. While at KBR you have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects including in the water, transport, natural resources, and government sectors. The group provides specialist environmental inputs to multi-disciplinary projects, as well as undertaking its own scientific and technical investigations for clients.

The role is open to senior acoustic consultants, ideally with experience ranging from six to ten years.

Responsibilities

This role will provide technical support, write reports and plans, and participate in multi-disciplinary teams on a range of projects.

The role will have a strong focus on NSW and will likely comprise the following responsibilities:

Carrying out environmental noise and vibration

assessments for infrastructure and transport

projects

Undertaking acoustic architectural design or building design

Using relevant software such as SoundPLAN

Oversight of construction activities including on-site roles such as environmental noise and vibration monitoring, etc

Ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients, colleagues, and government and private stakeholders

Managing and delivering projects on schedule, within budget and to the required quality standards

Bidding for and winning work.

Requirements

Experienced in noise and vibration assessments for infrastructure and transport projects

Experienced in noise and vibration monitoring for infrastructure and transport projects

Knowledge and understanding of Federal, state and local legislation, regulatory frameworks, and policy, and experience applying it to achieve practical outcomes

Existing networks in the NSW acoustic industry

Demonstrated experience working in multidisciplinary project teams

Experience in the successful management and delivery of acoustic projects, with time and project management skills

Relevant tertiary qualification degree

Must be an Australian Citizen
