The Sydney-based team with a mix of environmental scientists, environmental engineers, planners and community engagement specialists, and we are seeking a driven individual to join our team. While at KBR you have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects including in the water, transport, natural resources, and government sectors. The group assists in developing and implementing communication and engagement solutions for a range of infrastructure projects.

The role is open to senior communication and stakeholder engagement consultant, ideally with experience ranging from six to ten years.

Responsibilities

With strong attention to detail and willingness to learn you will manage the interface between our project teams, our clients and our other stakeholders, as well as contribute to proposals and marketing materials. Your flexibility and initiative will mean that you will adapt effectively to the requirements of different projects and you will respond quickly to any changes in client needs. Your ability to rapidly establish rapport with people will result in strong working relationships.

The role will have a strong focus on NSW and will likely comprise the following responsibilities:

Lead stakeholder engagement and communication in multi-disciplinary teams

Manage and deliver projects while addressing stakeholder needs and meeting client expectations within agreed project budget, scope and timeframes

Coordinate stakeholder engagement events including meetings, workshops, public displays and forums

Prepare communication material and manage project hotlines, emails, websites,

project correspondence and stakeholder interaction databases

Oversee stakeholder engagement and communication for site-based construction activities Develop and maintain relationships with clients, colleagues, and government and private stakeholders

Bid for and win work.

Requirements

Willingness to travel and/or be site-based for periods of time as required

Experience in the successful management and delivery of infrastructure projects, with time and project management skills

Relevant public relations or communications degree

Eligibility for membership to the International Association of Public Participation or the Public Relations Institute of Australia membership

Must be an Australian Citizen

Must hold a current drivers licence.
