local market requires. As part of this our Advisory practice in Darwin is

seeking a passionate and experienced Risk and Internal Audit professional to

join our growing team.

The opportunity

Following on from the successful establishment of our

Advisory practice in Darwin over the past 14 months, we are currently seeking several

high performing experienced professionals to expand our Darwin practice. One of

the key roles we require is a risk and internal audit professional who will be

tasked with leading the high quality delivery of existing client work, building

our profile in the local market and leveraging the broader capability of the EY

firm to support our growth aspirations.

Your Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the EY Director and Partner group, you’ll be

responsible for independently leading the performance of risk and internal

audit engagements, ensuring the delivery of high quality work products, developing

strong client relationships, identifying opportunities for us to provide

additional support to new and existing clients and preparing proposals to

respond to client requests.

  • Proven ability in leading the delivery of multiple projectssimultaneously

  • Commercial acumen and broad understanding ofbusiness processes

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication andstakeholder management skills

  • Well established proposal and report writingcapability

  • Strong work ethic, enthusiasm and a willingness to takeon new challenges, develop new capabilities and perform engagements acrossa variety of sectors

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of asmall team, helping to develop the understanding and skills of others

  • Existing government and private sector experience inrisk and internal audit

Qualifications:

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Experience in scoping, planning, executing andreporting with regards to internal audit and risk advisory engagementsacross focus areas including the design and operation of business processes,governance, risk and control improvement, enterprise risk management,project risk management, contract performance and compliance, IT generalcontrols, business continuity, cyber security and data analytics

  • Risk and internal audit experience of no less than 5years, having already performed in a Manager or Senior Manager role

  • Proven ability to:

  • effectively independently lead and deliver high qualitywork

  • build and maintain strong and trusted clientrelationships

  • identify, develop and convert new opportunities andmanage pursuits

  • A commitment to be based in Darwin and support thedevelopment of the local market (Note: some interstate may be requiredfrom time to time)

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Existing experience working in a professionalservices environment

  • Relevant post graduate qualifications such as theCA, CPA, CISA or GradCertIA

  • Existing experience and/or an established network inDarwin of client contacts (Government or private sector)
