KBR, along with our joint venture partners, JGC Corporation and Chiyoda Corporation, has formed JKC Australia LNG Pty Ltd
(JKC) to deliver the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) activities for the Ichthys Project onshore LNG facilities. The Project, one of the world’s largest LNG developments, involves gas from the Ichthys Field in the Browse Basin off north-west Australia being exported to the onshore processing facilities in Darwin via an 889km pipeline. The Ichthys LNG Project is expected to produce 8.4 million tonnes of LNG and 1.6 million tonnes of LPG per annum, along with approximately 100,000 barrels of condensate per day at peak over its 40 year life-span. The Project is now in the construction phase.
Reporting to the Area Construction Manager the Area Superintendent will be accountable for the following;
Ensuring construction of HRSG’s and Process piping for the Combined Cycle Steam Piping specified requirements and strictly following company’s specifications.
Observing day to day activities and proactively participating in any inspection / construction activity in order to reduce rejection and non-conformity.
Monitoring subcontractors performance
Previous experienc with supervising, coaching and reviewing staff and labour
Ability to identify and scope-up work for site personnel
Ability to monitor and support the development plan work schedules to facilitate productive working by the subcontractor
Commitment and willingness to participate and promote Incident and Injury Free (IIF) work culture
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
years in major projects, preferably in the industrial industry
Excellent communication and judgement skills
Computer literate, particularly in Microsoft Excel
Ability to read construction drawings and interpret specifications
Ability to review subcontractor documentation
Previous supervisory and problem solving skills
Team Player with the ability to develop rapport with all personnel
