The Business Manager will be responsible for managing and coordinating the delivery of all employment services within your site(s).

You will be responsible for managing end to end services within the policy parameters of the Company. You may be responsible in developing and implementing strategies to ensure support for employment services. You will be preparing and managing budgets, individual and team KPI's and managing and monitoring program performance against established targets. The Business Manager is also expected to exercise staff leadership and supervision of site employees.

  • Ensuring all KPIs are met including targets, outcomes, claims and all service requirements

  • Monitoring budgets and working with revenues in excess of $1million

  • Conducting Employment Services activities within contractual and legislative requirements

  • Managing own client caseload or proportion of, based on staff to client ratio

  • Monitoring, auditing and ensuring that client file case notes and all other documentation are relevant and exceed contractual standards

  • Maintaining and reporting statistics as required by Regional Manager

  • Promoting and negotiating employment opportunities with employers and marketing job seekers for vacancies

  • Establishing community based connections to promote the full range of MAX Employment products and services

Qualifications:

  • Relevant Tertiary qualifications

  • Hold or have the ability to obtain a current Working with Children Check (or equivalent)

Key Skills/Attributes:

  • Previous experience in Employment services desirable

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate and coach a team of people to deliver exceptional outcomes

  • Demonstrated ability to build strong and lasting relationships with a broad range of key stakeholders

  • Strong understanding of the local labour market trends and skills shortages.

  • Marketing and business development skills with a background in employer/community engagement

  • Exceptional interpersonal, management and organisational skills;

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills and ability to negotiate at all levels

  • Effective problem solving and conflict resolution skills

  • A high level of business acumen and budgetary skills as well as an understanding of profit and loss concepts

  • A good understanding of relevant human resource practices and relevant legislation
