Industry Leading Defence Subcontractor Based in Parkside, Adelaide Excellent career growth opportunity Raytheon Australia are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer acting as an Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead to join our AIR3024 Project in Parkside, Adelaide. As an IPT Lead, your role is to provide engineering requirements, design, verification and validation support for the Woomera Test Range (WTR) Mission and Support Systems. You will be required to apply advanced technical theories, methodologies, principles and subcontractor management expertise to provide viable and compliant solutions to the current phase of the project, taking cognisance of cost and schedule constraints whilst ensuring adherence to processes set down by the Engineering Manager. The WTR Mission System is a complex (IP based) network, integrating specialised control software, data analysis, video display and management, data storage and management, IP management, network security systems, radar and EOIR sensor systems, radio and network data communications systems. The Mission System is comprised of equipment and software provided by major US, European and Australian suppliers: the technical coordination and governance required to manage the subcontractors and design team necessitates a high level of experience required for this role. The key domains for which the IPT is accountable to deliver includes electro-optic sensors, complex IP networks, software intensive applications and systems and test-range relevant environmental sensors. Key Responsibilities: Provide leadership, management and oversight to the diverse members of the IPT to deliver program outcomes Support and manage key stakeholders internal to the program, within the broader company, within the key subcontractors and the customer (in support of the Program Management Office) Apply advanced technical principles, theories and methodologies to support the program System Design and Analysis activities Provide highly innovative technical solutions to a range of complex problems to support project activities such as: Elicit / refine / document Requirements Create Verification Statements for requirements Perform Systems Analysis Perform System Design activities (including trade studies) Maintain the design of the system Develop and maintain system architecture design documents Perform technical risk analysis Plan, document and support Integration, Verification and Validation activities · Participate in major reviews throughout the lifecycle (e.g. DDR and TRR) as well as participating in peer reviews and project working groups. Skills, Experience and Qualifications: Tertiary Qualification in relevant engineering discipline At least 8 years’ experience in an Engineering discipline including involvement in one or more of the following Engineering practices: Requirements Definition Requirements Management Requirements Analysis Design Systems Integration Verification and Validation Demonstrated ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, with an emphasis on subcontractor interactions. Demonstrated experience in representing the Engineering function with internal and external customers Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance up to Negative Vetting Level 1.
