Supervisor - Electrical Fitter

Sulzer Australia is currently looking for a Supervisor - Electrical Fitter to join our Service Centre, Perth Airport. Reporting to the Works Manager, your responsibilities in supporting the workshop and general site as required will include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining communication with the Works Manager regarding the status of work production

  • Providing supervision, instruction, coaching, and performance management to the day shift team

  • Ensuring all paperwork, job documentation is followed up and accurately completed

  • Providing technical assistance and support to all trades staff - team members

  • Day to day scheduling of all production work orders

  • Supervising the day shift team ensuring all team members are following safe work practices

  • Maintaining health and safety standards and appropriate levels of housekeeping in the workshop area

Selection Criteria

  • Australian recognized Trade Certificate level III in Electrical Fitting; Electrical Machine Repair; or equivalent;

  • Experienced in overhaul, repair and rewind of generators and / or other rotating equipment;

  • Proven ability to provide service delivery that is customer focused, flexible and adaptable

  • Dedication to working in a safe manner at all times

  • Leadership ability and ability to manage and mentor staff

  • Strong communication skills – concise verbal, written and listening (accepting of input from others at all levels)

  • Strong, organisational and time management skills

  • Demonstrates a flexible and adaptable customer service focused attitude

  • Ability to follow company policy, procedures and training requirements

  • Manual Drivers Licence
