About the role
Based at our Peak Downs Mine, we are currently seeking an experienced Coordinator Drill & Blast (Overburden) to provide expert planning and coordination of the forthcoming Drill and Blast activities. Reporting to the Superintendent Drill & Blast, you will have a strong safety focus, with the confidence to plan, manage and coordinate the D&B Operations and communicate the plan effectively to all stakeholders. Please note BMA housing or camp accommodation is available for this role and this will be in Dysart.
•Effectively assigning and communicating tasks to teams and team members
•Resolving resourcing and scheduling issues to deliver the plan
•Providing input into all planning horizons
•Contribute to the development of the weekly plan
•Identify performance enhancing initiatives
•Manage statutory obligations
•Analyse variances, trends, risks and opportunities across shifts, highlighting operational performance issues to management
•Drive continuous improvement and challenge the status quo;
As the Coordinator Drill & Blast, you will have demonstrated experience in a large scale open cut mining operation with exposure to drill and blast activities. You will utilise your excellent relationship building and influencing skills in order to hold others to account.
