Our community of specialists advise State and Federal government agencies on the economic, environmental, and social impacts of major government investment programs and reforms.

The opportunity

The Economics, Regulation and Policy team sits within our Infrastructure Advisory subservice line. Due to their continued success, it has propelled rapid growth and as such, we’re recruiting for a Consultant / Senior Consultant to join this high performing team. This is a great opportunity where you can play a key role with our clients, sharing your knowledge and providing valued insights to enhance the business relationship.

You will work on transactions that comprise social and economic infrastructure assets with our advice covering the full spectrum of considerations over the entire infrastructure lifecycle. This includes financial and economic analysis, due diligence, regulatory support and development of business cases through to involvement in complex procurement and project transaction phases.

Qualifications:

Your key responsibilities

Reporting to the EY Director, you’ll be responsible for serving as a member of multiple client engagement teams while working with other team members to understand the client’s business needs.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Good time management with an aptitude for working with multiple projects and stakeholders

  • Intermediate to advanced financial / economic modelling skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and client management skills

  • Enthusiastic work ethic and willingness to learn new capabilities and perform engagements in new sectors or specialties

To qualify for the role you must have

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Business, Economics, Finance)

  • Proficient oral and written communication skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to develop and encourage client relationships effectively

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in one or more of the following areas: 1) economic analysis and modelling, 2) infrastructure business cases, 3) Government policy and regulation, or 4) procurement and delivery of complex infrastructure projects.
