The Opportunity

KBR is looking for experienced and qualified Logistics Manager for an opportunity in Adelaide.

We are the Program Managers for the development of the mine infrastructure for a Copper/Gold mine in South Australia.

Project scope includes project and portfolio management, engineering design and construction management for the process plant, mine access and all mine infrastructures excluding the mine. KBR will be supplying Project Management and Construction Management expertise for this work.

We require a Logistics Manager with extensive experience with the supply chain challenges involved with the construction of a mine and mineral processing plant in remote areas

Core Responsibilities

Setting up the logistics for the supply of materials and equipment to the mining project

Work with the client to integrate our processes and procedures with theirs

Reporting progress, manning and on site productivity reporting

Promoting and ensuring compliance with all company and client policies and procedures

Ensuring safe workplace practices are strictly adhered to by all those under their control and

best trade and HSE practises are performed in accordance with the relevant project and construction standards and specifications

Negotiating supply contracts with providers in conjunction with the procurement team

Promoting and maintain a positive and respectful team environment for all those under their control and mentoring construction teams to ensure competency in their roles

Promoting and maintaining an environment of continuous improvement

Essential Requirements

To be considered for the opportunity applicants must demonstrate a solid track record of delivering cost effective and efficient logistics solutions within the construction phase of a mining project that will be able to be transferred across to an operating mine.

We would expect at least 10 years’ experience in a similar role would be needed to be able to deal with the challenges this position will face, tertiary qualifications would be highly regarded.

This role will best suit someone who is a proactive team player who can work collaboratively with the client, KBR and our suppliers to deliver the best outcomes.
