About the role
The role Superintendent Remediation, in close co-operation with your back-to-back, will drive the execution of Remediation Programs as defined and identified by the Engineering Assessments and subsequent scopes of work. You will also manage the successful contractors and vendors through their allocated works and support the Remediation Manager in development of Strategy, Provision and Management of expected outcomes.
Please note this position is based at Olympic Dam, operating on an 8/6 roster, with residential or FIFO options available.
In this role you will:
Be first and foremost focused on creating a culture of care by being a visible safety leader, engaging, developing and coaching your team.
Manage the planning, safe execution, and commissioning of approved Execution Programs according to agreed Scope, Budget, Schedule, and relevant Standards and Specifications.
Manage the handover to the Operation / client and ensure all relevant change control documentation has been updated to as-built status (to ensure an accurate blue print) and is provided to the Engineering / Governance and Technical Stewardship sub-function.
Lead the management of the construction and commissioning activities for modifications and small projects and risks relevant to these activities.
Lead the reporting requirements for the execution of modifications and small projects for plant, equipment and non-process infrastructure.
Define execution plans, cost-benefits analyses, impact assessments and project business cases as required to achieve scope based outcomes on Asset defined dollar/ complexity/ risk thresholds.
Validate that material risks for the Execution Team that are identified and related to critical controls are implemented and effective.
Promote operational discipline and high performance in work execution and enhances the technical knowledge of team members (employees and contractors), ensuring they adhere to work standards and understand the purpose and functionality of critical controls relevant to their work.
Demonstrate the confidence to lead by example, hold yourself and others accountable and coach others in Safety Leadership
Excellent communication, influencing and negotiating skills with the ability to build credibility and trust across all levels with internal and external stakeholders.
Be able to demonstrate a track record in successful delivery of large capital projects.
In depth knowledge of construction and mining methods and procedures.
Ability to identify and mitigate key project risks.
Experienced in managing interfaces, delivering quality outcomes and managing to budget and schedule.
