About the opportunity

Due to recent project success and a strong project pipeline within our South Brisbane Water & Environment business line, we are currently looking to recruit a Contaminated Land Consultant, to support the contamination land discipline undertaking quality investigations within the Queensland market through identification and winning of new work.

Areas of responsibility include:

  • Undertake land contamination investigations including field work, analysis and interpretation of data, and preparation of reports under supervision (Queensland / interstate)

  • Organise fieldwork components including management of subcontractors and preparation of health and safety plans

  • Assist in the preparation of proposals for land contamination projects

  • Engage with the clients to develop business relationships and identify work opportunities

About you

To be successful you will have the following skills, knowledge & experience:

  • Be a member of a relevant professional body having recently achieved or actively working towards chartership status

  • Maintain a current knowledge of the industry by appropriate training, association membership and study

  • Demonstrated interest and knowledge in land contamination as a career path, environmental site assessments and remediation

  • Experience leading field work (preferable)

  • A relevant University Degree in either geology / hydrogeology / chemistry / environmental

  • Experience using Office (excel, word), gINT (for publishing test pit and borehole logs) and basic level of skills in spatial programs (google earth, arcmap).

  • Experience with ESDAT (laboratory database) preferable

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, including demonstrated competence in complex mathematical problems
