Reporting to the Demand and Replenishment Manager, the Demand Planner is responsible for being an effective contributor to the demand management cycle of the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process for their categories across ANZ. They act as the link between the commercial and operational teams and develop ways to continuously improve communications between the functions to support the delivery of the business KPI’s for their categories.

This role is a Fixed-Term contract for 12 months.

Some of the key accountabilities for this role will include (but are not limited to):

Manage Inventory Levels

  • Liaise with functional partners to ensure an accurate level of inventory is held to meet customer service levels within the season.

  • Communicate any imbalance or potential KPI miss with options to mitigate for major events.

  • Validate product launches and deletions are accommodated by supply planning to meet launch/deletion dates by customer.

Integrated Business Management

  • Ensure that issues and actions arising within the monthly business management cycle are managed to completion

  • Develop strong communication and partnering links with Sales, Category Activation and Supply Planning to ensure that supply planning issues are captured, and where applicable are escalated within business-wide category planning forum

Weekly Drumbeat Process

  • Coordinate, consolidate, resolve and communicate (within 0-18m) supply constraints

  • Interface with relevant category supply planners to provide input to the weekly drumbeat process

  • Facilitate a weekly cross functional drumbeat to ensure an optimal balance across supply and demand in the short-term.

Manage Demand/Supply Planning Tools and Systems

  • Ensure the maintenance of all relevant system data to required standards. This includes date validity, Master Data and other data elements impacting on the planning process

Do you have what it takes?

  • Degree qualified, preferably in a supply chain or numerical discipline

  • At least 4 years of relevant experience, preferably in food or other fast moving, dynamic industry, where shelf life is a constraint

  • Experience in change management within an IBP demand environment is preferred

  • Demonstrated contemporary functional demand and replenishment planning knowledge and application, within a complex manufacturing environment

  • Demonstrated project management experience

  • Materials and inventory management

  • Team player who can work with many other functions on a daily basis

  • Good stakeholder management and negotiation skills

  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills

  • SAP experience is required

  • Advanced knowledge in MS Excel and other office applications
