ANZ Partner Marketing Manager

Partners are a critical part of AWS’s global business model. As the ANZ Partner Marketing Manager, you will develop marketing programs which support the growth objectives of AWS’s business in ANZ and drive partner led opportunities and revenue growth. These marketing programs will include both AWS education programs “to” partners and the development of “joint” demand generation and brand awareness programs.

Key focus areas include:

  • Work directly with strategic partners in country to build and execute joint-marketing plans to acquire new customers, retain and grow existing customers and deliver growth in revenue from AWS services.

  • Localize and execute global partner marketing programs and campaigns in country

  • Benchmark program elements against best in class Partner Marketing programs

  • Manage local partner marketing agency resources to deliver partner marketing programs to the partner ecosystem at scale.

The ideal candidate will have creative marketing ideas to combine with extensive analytic and data-driven customer demand generation experience. The ability to effectively communicate with some of the most agile technology companies in the industry, including both technical and non-technical audiences is critical. You should be detail-oriented and organized, capable of handling multiple projects at once, and comfortable dealing with ambiguity and rapidly changing priorities.

A solid understanding of cloud architecture and the cloud landscape are critical to this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to ANZ AWS business growth through effective Partner Marketing enablement

  • Drive broad scale adoption of a AWS services through ‘volume partners’

  • Work with Strategic Partners to create joint brand awareness and joint-demand generation programs which enhance our Enterprise and CXO Marketing programs

  • Act as a key marketing contact for the Partner Manager Team in ANZ, including regular participation in team calls, in-person meetings and planning sessions.

  • Drive interlock and alignment with the Field Marketing team to ensure that Partner Marketing programs amplify the AWS marketing priorities in country.

  • Monitor and support partner utilization of MDF (budgets) and enable appropriate spend of MDF on marketing initiatives including being an expert resource on process, guidelines and options for partners.

  • Drive the launch of new programs and products to our channels.

  • Recruit partner participation for AWS’s corporate events including AWS Summit Series and Partner Summit

  • Work closely with ANZ and APJ partner marketing, marketing and sales organizations to prioritize and launch sales tools, product demos and configuration tools to enable partners to sell AWS solutions.

  • Work with APJ Partner Marketing Manager and Regional Leaders.

Education & Experience:

  • 10+ years’ experience in B2B Partner Marketing role - high-tech products/services required; enterprise software experience preferred

  • Proven success in creating and implementing partner led demand generation marketing strategies and marketing programs across a complex, multi-tiered Partner ecosystem

  • Proven experience of creating business cases for accelerated Marketing investment to support Partner growth

  • Demonstrated experience in working with sales leaders in driving pipeline and revenue

  • Experience in a dynamic start-up or high growth environment a key advantage

  • Experience in creating programmatic Partner campaigns for volume markets a key advantage

  • Degree qualifications (Bachelors or Masters Degree in relevant subject)
