Within Microsoft Services Dynamics Global Domain, the Dynamics Solution Architecture Office (SAO) is a team of architects responsible for delivery excellence, methodology, estimation and lifecycle tools, intellectual property (IP) in support of delivery, field readiness compliance, communities, pre-sales support for incubation pre-sales and solution innovation for the Dynamics 365 for Operations and Finance (ERP) and Customer Engagement (CRM) spaces. Our goal is to support and enable the consulting and support teams in the field to sell and deliver with predictability, repeatability, consistency and quality across the time zones while driving IP reuse and leverage of best practices. The cornerstone elements to realize our ERP and CRM strategies are Microsoft's Enterprise-class ERP and CRM products under Dynamics 365.
We are looking for an AX Solution Architect for the Dynamics Domain Solution Architecture Office focused on the APJ Time Zone.
APJ AX Solution Architect for Solution Architect Office
As Solution Architect in the Dynamics AX area of the SAO, you will be responsible primarily for helping the Time Zone grow their ERP business and drive technical delivery excellence and standards, and support the technical community for your assigned time zone. Overall serve as a SME for ERP for your time zone driving best practices, sharing lessons learned and driving predictability, repeatability, consistency and quality in technical pre-sales and delivery. This includes:
• Leading the technical solutioning and estimation of complex ERP deals
• Supporting the TZ leadership in raising the maturity of overall ERP solutioning and estimation on the team and growing the business
• From time to time, upon request,
leading the solution architecture stream of a major complex deal pursuit
supporting engagement teams on initiation and planning of engagements including the correct set up of metrics and measurements for project control and risk management
leading the architecture stream during delivery for complex deals during Initiation and Analysis o Supporting and advising engagement teams to follow a consistent methodology
• Monitoring engagements for methodology compliance and working with the engagement teams to take corrective action where necessary
• Driving adoption of LCS and working with the LCS Architect on the SAO team and R&D to drive enhancements and resolve issues
• Working with pre-sales teams to ensure consistent use of the One Services Estimator (OSE) and working with the OSE Architect on the SAO team and WW to drive enhancements and resolve tool issues o Working with Services Business Desk (SBD), WW Delivery Excellence Office, WW OCTO and the Time Zone Delivery Managers to provide solution and methodology expertise on Project Quality Assurance Reviews (PQR) and Technical Quality Assurance (TQA) Reviews
• Participating in/Leading project recovery for troubled projects as needed from a methodology and solution perspective
Community and Readiness
• Informally lead the AX Community for your time zone driving participation and knowledge sharing, reviewing content and evaluating delivery IP
¨ At least 10-15 years of professional experience in information technology consulting, technology implementation, or related field
¨ Deep expertise with selling and implementing Enterprise Resource Planning and Supply Chain Management tools (Dynamics AX, SAP ERP, Oracle ERP, I2, Red Prairie, etc.)
¨ Strong track record of collaboration and working on matrixed teams
¨ Solid understanding of SureStep methodology and full delivery lifecycle experience from pre-sales to productive operations on complex projects
¨ Demonstrated track record of effective communication with technical and business leaders at all levels within large enterprises (and for internal candidates) and within Microsoft Business Groups, Partner Groups and Sales organizations
¨ Demonstrated track record of ability to support and influence teams for positive results and improvements
¨ Strategic and/or an IT consulting experience with a premier consulting firm
¨ Proven ability to transfer industry and market knowledge gained from customer engagements to account teams and other Microsoft constituencies ¨ Experience with executing plans with field sales organizations
¨ Global experience across several markets preferred; specific experience in applicable time zone a must-have
¨ Multi-language a plus
¨ Relevant undergraduate degree and /or equivalent work experience. Master's Degree preferred. ¨ Travel requirement for this position is approximately 50-75% (with a willingness to travel 100% for periods of time) and is an integral expectation of this position as the needs of our customers and our business demand.
