Hyatt Assistant Manager – Housekeeping in SYDNEY, Australia
* To ensure that all safety rules, emergency procedures and fire prevention regulations are strictly enforced by employees. * To be responsible for the inventory of guest supplies, cleaning supplies, printing and stationary for the rooms, linen, etc. and to check that they are handled and stored correctly. * To ensure through effective supervision that all services offered by the Housekeeping department are always available, and are carried out with the utmost efficiency and courtesy * To liaise with the Laundry and Engineering departments to ensure the smooth flow of linen supplies and repair work. * To liaise with Front Office to anticipate guest arrivals and departures, ensuring rooms are ready in a timely manner * To conduct daily inspections of all hotel areas to ensure cleaning standards are maintained * To conduct regular Housekeeping meetings to keep employees informed of policies and procedures, special events, further improvement plans and guest comments.
* Detailed working knowledge of cleaning agents and chemicals * Stock and linen control * Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar position in a 5 star hotel * Well developed communication skills and customer relation skills * Well developed computer skills particularly in the use of MS Office, email and hotel Property Maintenance System (preferably Opera) * Good trainer, able to facilitate at all levels * Comprehensive knowledge of business needs, financial reporting and productivity requirements
