Hyatt Associate Director of Sales in SYDNEY, Australia
Multi-award winning luxury hotel, the Park Hyatt Sydney seeks an experienced and enthusiastic Associate Director of Sales to join our professional Sales and Marketing team on a full-time basis.
Under the direction of the Director of Sales and Marketing you will be responsible for assisting in the achievement of budgeted room and event revenues across all market segments whilst delivering the brand promise and providing exceptional guest service at all times.
The main duties include, but not limited to: * Developing, implementing and monitoring the hotel's sales strategy to achieve and exceed forecasted revenue targets in Rooms, Food and Beverage and all other revenue generating departments; * Manages hotel sales brand contacts and helps to maintain the hotel's brand positioning; * Manages key sales accounts and groups and develops strategies for pricing, inventory and sales resource allocation; * Assists the Director of Sales and Marketing to review and evaluate the effectiveness of selling activities and ensures room and event space inventories are reviewed weekly and strategies are formulated to fill low occupancy periods; * Attends major travel, trade and corporate functions and conduct sales trips based on business priorities; * Entertains existing and potential clients and ensures a high level of exposure for the hotel through direct sales solicitation, telephone contact and written communication; * Build and maintain excellent client relations and develops accounts to increase market share across all revenue streams - locally, nationally and globally
To be successful in this role you will have : * University degree / diploma in Sales and Marketing and / or Hospitality or Tourism Management * Minimum two years work experience as Associate Director of Sales or four years as Sales manager in a luxury international branded hotel * Previous experience in a 5 star hotel with established contacts * Strong understanding of selling techniques and marketing approaches * Proactive in generating business opportunities * Excellent time management and negotiation skills * Strong customer service skills and ability to secure results * Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (with an advanced proficiency of the English language)
