We are currently recruiting for a 12 month contract role for a Corporate

Accountant to join our Finance team.

The role will provide significant exposure to interesting and complex

areas and senior contacts within the business. The role will be working in a

high pressure environment and requires a driven and motivated candidate.

Reporting directly to the Financial Services Manager, this position will

hold the following key responsibilities but not be limited

to:

  • Administer Company Leases - property leases; office equipment; completionof corporate lease documents for global finance;maintenance of lease schedules including siterestoration provision; review lease documentation to support financial reportingand to comply with financial requirements in accordance with lease arrangements

  • Prepare and compile workpapers for annual FBT and income tax lodgements– including quarterly review of accounts for FBT/Tax Compliance(entertainment/sundry reporting)

  • Prepare and compile workpapers for annual Financial Statement lodgement

  • Prepare monthly GST tax and income tax reporting – transaction reviewand analysis

  • Prepare and review monthly reporting of cash flow and bankingarrangements

  • Reconciliation of corporate balance sheet accounts

  • Monthly and quarterly transactional fixed asset reporting – work withstore design teams and brands to ensure relevant approvals and documentationfollows corporate fixed asset policies; reconciliation of corporate fixedassets register and management of disposals and impairment process

Qualifications

This

role is not for the faint-hearted. The role requires a solid technical accountant who can and will take

ownership and be accountable for their results. Focus will be on completing all

corporate accounting and associated reporting activities. Time management and problem solving skills must be your best friend.

To be successful, you will be CA/CPA qualified with approx. 3-5 years

post qualified experience in a similar corporate role (background in a

multi-national with multiple business units would be ideal). As you will be

interacting within the finance team and the broader business, you must have

excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to confidently communicate at

all levels. Your strong Excel and systems skills will ensure the accuracy and

timeliness of the financial information required to enable sound business

decisions by senior management.
