Are you comfortable digging into business requirements and collaborating with business and technical teams to launch new capabilities improving the customer experience? Australian’s Dangerous Goods is looking for Program Manager to plan and execute dangerous goods compliance projects and maintain operational performance.
This role requires working with different business owners across organizations to define the strategy, requirements, timelines as well as lead different cross functional teams. This role will also act as a Dangerous Goods Specialist who will work on resolving compliance gaps and new compliance initiatives. Cross-team coordination, program management, and effective communication skills are essential.
Qualified candidate have 5 or more years of relevant work experience in project management in a cross-functional environment and 2 years of Dangerous Goods or related compliance program experience.
Identify and lead dangerous goods improvement projects to drive towards a best in class dangerous goods compliance program.
Work cross functionally with business and software teams to ensure dangerous goods compliance requirements are known and projects are carried out to delivery.
Identify regulatory risks in new products and services and provide guidance for risk mitigations.
Obtain hazardous materials certification for transportation agencies.
Develop and maintain solid relationships with retail, FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon) and fulfillment center partners to capture and remediate concerns.
5 years project management experience and demonstrated success, 2 years Dangerous Goods or other compliance program experience
Experience driving process improvement with technology.
MBA or related advanced degree.
Certification and experience in dangerous goods compliance.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and autonomously.
Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team.
Accomplished range of skills from high level strategic thinking to creative and detailed execution.
Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.
