Reporting into the Manager of Global Package Development, the role holder will be the centralized point of contact for global packaging based in the Johnson and Johnson Pacific office, with regular engagement locally, regionally and even globally.
Some of the key responsibilities will include:
Lead /Support Global Packaging’s (GP) programs, systems, processes, qualifications, documentations and/or other initiatives related to new product development/ introductions, promotions, cost improvements, business continuity, compliance, issue investigation and resolution/ troubleshooting, and other packaging support that may be required
Identifies and consolidates risks/ concerns from the site, and escalates to GP regional management for alignment. Cascades relevant announcements and changes from global/ regional GP to local team. Work with cross-functional teams, including at source sites within or outside AP, to execute projects requiring support from GP.
Reviews artworks (including proofs), handles packaging development, and liaises the same with suppliers and manufacturing or repacking facilities for proper execution.
Create, issue, and ensure compliance of barcodes, LCNs and GS1 report/qualification
Develop repackaging and packaging component specifications. Review, route and/ or approve the same, as appropriate.
Input of Unit of Measure (UoM) data in SAP, and packaging related info in the Universal Buying forms (UBF) – Trade customer requirement that is required for each SKU/Packaging
Comply with cGMP guidelines, local Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and regulations.
Create/ Input to change controls or investigation/ CAPA documents, reports, data requests, etc.
Support to internal and external quality audits (including follow-up actions involving GP).
Create/ revise SOPs, and/or identify opportunities for improvement, as appropriate.
Timely complete training assignments.
Support functional and business objectives, goals, strategies and measures (OGSM) via timely revert on project status and deliverables from GP.
Be acquainted with the latest market trends, trade conditions and requirements for consideration in new or changes in packages.
Be valued for who you are
Ideally you will have a solid background in packaging and be looking to jump into a role that will set you up for long term career success. You will be degree qualified, ideally in engineering with technical experience in the FMCG/healthcare industry, particularly in new product and packaging development, and accompanying compliance and business processes and systems (i.e. artworks, moulds, tests etc.) Attention to detail and ability to exhibit assertive, analytical and efficient work behavior is required.
