You will be responsible for the sale of Dell EMC products and services to our distribution partners. Sales are generated over the phone by building relationships with partners, conducting a needs analysis and building an IT solution for that partner.
You will work as part of a virtual team with the Field based Distribution Account Manager and the Technical team. The scope of the position includes new partner account allocations as well as the development and maintenance of existing partners within the account base allocated.
A high level of proactive account activity is required ensuring quotas are covered and over-achieved. You will strive to meet quota targets by selling Dell EMC’s range of products, third party products and services using consultative selling techniques and your negotiating and influencing expertise. You will also be responsible for the preparation of timely and accurate quotations/orders to meet our distributors requests and deadlines. You will need to maintain an awareness of the IT industry and keep up to date with new products and technologies.
Previous experience in IT sales preferably within the Channel (4+years)
An understanding of IT Solutions - Client and Enterprise products
Excellent communication skills
Self-motivated, well organised and able to work well within a team
Strong Customer Service ethic
Well-developed negotiation and sales persuasion skills
Consultative selling skills
