As the Business Affairs Manager for Australia you will help shape Audible’s relationships with Australian content creators, authors, publishers, and agents for spoken word content and audio rights.

You will:

  • Identify potential content partners.

  • Assist Audible in maintaining and shaping relationships with new and existing content creators, agents, publishers, other rights holders and business development partners, with a view to support Audible’s extraordinary growth.

  • Coordinate closely with members of the Business Affairs department and other areas of Audible to maintain consistency in rightsholder communications.

  • Be required to travel internationally.

  • Professional Degree required.

  • Minimum 5 years experience.

  • Proven prior success in a content acquisition or business development department of a digital media company.

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills -- ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts and ideas in a non-technical, simple manner across different levels of an organization.

  • Resourceful self-starter with an independent attitude and focus on excellence.

  • Ability to operate in a high-energy, high-intensity and rapidly evolving environment.

  • Solid organizational and project management skills are also required along with the ability to work with cross functional teams under aggressive deadlines.

  • Experience in digital media (online publishing, video, music, etc.)

  • Familiarity with the Australian book publishing landscape
