MAIN JOB PURPOSE:

A National Account Executive position has become available for an experienced FMCG sales person to partner with global customers in our Out-of-Home (OOH) business.

The National Account Executive will be responsible for the Ice Cream and Beverage categories which will have you working on some of the most exciting and recognised Unilever brands in Australia; including Magnum, Ben & Jerry's, Paddle Pop and Lipton Ice tea to name a few.

Please note, travel interstate will be required as part of this role (approximately fortnightly).

JOB SUMMARY

  • Delivery of invoiced sales targets and trade spend budgets across allocated customers and categories

  • Day to day Buyer contact and relationship management with the designated Customers

  • Creation and execution of category specific Joint Business Plans (JBP) managing both Unilever and customer profitability, with clear counterparts against any Trade Spend investment

  • Tracking of JBP through a spreadsheet model for both Unilever and customer fiscals

  • Forecast accuracy for invoiced sales and trade spend by month, quarterly and full year

  • Delivery of market share targets measured through scan data

  • Delivery of in store execution targets against specific measurables around range reviews and promotions

  • Collaborative activation in customer within allocated budgets working with the category, marketing and retailer teams

  • Provision of clear up to date inputs to business processes e.g. Promotional Planning and Evaluation; Field Briefings, New Product Development (NPD) launches

  • Own the financial administration of the designated accounts for trading terms, promotions and all trade spend investments; invoicing, accruals, price query resolution, trade term contract compliance within designated categories working together with the Category Operations, Finance, Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payable Teams

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Strong written ability and an attention to detail

  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment

  • Ability to lead and influence relationships with stakeholders at all levels; including negotiation, objection handling and managing challenging conversations effectively and diplomatically

  • Numerically astute; to effectively leverage insights such as Aztec, Nielsen data

  • Commercial acumen to manage internal and external KPIs

  • Proven ability to develop and implement Joint Business Plans, Forecasting and Promotional Planning

  • Demonstrated ability to identify and secure new business

  • An interest in mentoring others/ team with a view of future career promotions to managerial and leadership positions

  • Degree education regarded highly
