This position is a key member of the pre-sales solution consulting team who will work within the Technology Center of Excellence alongside other technical team members. A person in this role is familiar and experienced with Cloud technologies, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, Solution design, Software Development methodology, Security, Architecture, Integration and is comfortable and well versed in presenting to customers and Marquis brand accounts with the purpose of showcasing cloud technology as a key differentiator and eliminating questions, concerns and obstacles to subscribing to a SaaS based application.

As a Solution Specialist and Cloud Technologist, this role will support Sales Opportunities by articulating the value and demonstrative the flexibility of a cloud based SaaS application. Being a customer facing role, this involves

  • Conducting discovery sessions with customers to understand their current landscape, challenges, aspirations.

  • Identifying relevant and key value propositions and presenting them to the customer

  • Demonstrating the power and flexibility of the applications by leveraging product demonstrations

  • Architecting a cloud based future landscape


  • Designing, building out and Delivering Technology focused Presentations to both Business and IT audience which may involve interactions with C Suite executives.

Support Sales team to position NetSuite as the solution of choice for customers

  • Execute customer discovery sessions to identify technical landscape, key challenges, systems, integration, security posture, cloud readiness. Use the results from the discovery to position NetSuite’s PaaS and provide business and technical value as


  • Identify customer’s integration needs and build familiarity with NetSuite’s partner ecosystem. Produce future technical landscape which generates value for the customer.

  • Conduct workshops with customers to build product familiarity and expose the power, ease of use and flexibility.

  • Deliver product demonstration that showcases the power and flexibility of NetSuite’s platform.

  • Engage with customers to help them grow on NetSuite’s ecosystem.

  • Build Proof of Concept using NetSuite’s PaaS.

  • Become familiar with competitive landscape and key differentiators.

  • Support technical RFPs


7 experience working with enterprise applications and solutions

(ERP, Middleware, Custom/Home Grown, Web Based, MDM, Data Warehouse etc). Prior use of development platforms, programming languages and related technologies is required. Experience with ERP applications will be a plus.

Knowledge of Application Development / SDLC methodologies is required.

3 years in a customer facing role that involved presentations and demonstrations is required. Strong presentation and communications skills is required.

Experience with PaaS, IaaS, SaaS is required.

Experience with APIs, SOAP/REST Webservices, SQL is required.

Experience with application/data security standards and practices, compliance, audit will be a plus.

Experience with Systems Integration/Middleware, Enterprise Application Integration will be a plus.

Experience with Javascript will be a plus.

Overlay sales personnel providing specialist product expertise to the sales force.

Partners with Account, Technology, and Application sales representatives to qualify and close new business on Oracle solutions. Provides specific industry or product expertise to facilitate the closing of deals within sales representatives territory. Interacts with sales team to architect the solution, and develop and execute solution strategies for market. Manages solution opportunities to obtain appropriate and necessary resources for all qualified opportunities. Leads teams in the sales process for establishing market visibility and deal visibility. Presents/demonstrates solution to high level clients and industry conference attendees. May provide training to field sales on industry/solutions. Builds and maintains a network and up to date specific industry or product knowledge.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 8 years applicable experience preferred. Subject matter expertise in industry/product space. Knowledge of key industry leaders and management. Knowledge of Oracle competition. Presentation and product demonstration experience. Previous consultative selling experience preferred. Excellent communication, negotiating, and closing skills with prospects and customers. Travel may be needed. BA/BS degree in related field.
