Position Summary:

Insurance is a core component of the Citigroup Australia product offering for our clients. Leveraging our relationship with a panel of insurers, the business has ambitious targets which will be the responsibility of the Insurance Product Manager – Non Life and Credit Card.

The Product Delivery Manager will be responsible for the management, promotion and customer satisfaction for a number of products as well as planning and developing initiatives in line with the overall business strategic roadmap. This includes maintaining the digital & market viability of current products and working closely with insurance partners and Citi leadership in the creation of new products. The role will (in conjunction with our partner businesses) manage the product life cycle including market analysis, product requirements, launch coordination and sales enablement.

The Product Delivery Manager must possess a mix of business, digital marketing, sales and technical skills; a big-picture vision combined with active hands-on execution to deliver tactical initiatives with a key focus on digital sales acquisition. He or she must understand both the market and competition to find innovative solutions for Citi customers.

The Product Delivery manager will communicate with all areas of the business and will work closely with sales teams to find and close opportunities. He or she will work closely with marketing to define user stories and the go-to-market strategy, based on a practical understanding of the way products are sold in the field.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Work with the Head of insurance to identify and develop new business opportunities to continually grow the non-life and credit card Insurance business of Citi Australia

  • Work closely with our insurance partners and internal stakeholders to build/buy/partner to achieve the product vision, including Lead ongoing optimisation of our search strategy, consulting across divisions within Citi

  • Create opportunities to amplify marketing propositions within Citi and our partner businesses, by way of Manage and support the growth and performance of digital sales to drive volume, quality and value

  • Work with insurance partners to develop and drive innovative retention and upsell activities to retain customers

  • Track and monitor key financial drivers – sales, revenue and margins ensuring product offerings are in line with business metrics

  • Lead and drive collaboration/opportunities with other business units to ensure common approaches and synergies around the value proposition of adjacent products

  • Lead and drive requirement identification for the insurance technology infrastructure to ensure the systems are in place to house insurance policies and to facilitate new external products

  • Manage the execution of the full product lifecycle including product research, competitive analysis, planning, positioning, roadmap development, requirements development, product launch and ongoing promotion with sales teams

  • Specify business requirements for products by conducting partner reviews, visits to customers and prospects

  • Works with sales staff to develop a variety of tools to assist with identifying gaps in the market and the opportunities

  • Manage any activities pertaining to policy, regulatory changes, client communication that impact the insurance business and

  • Demonstrate capacity to develop, negotiate and deliver improved insurance products and service strategies to support the delivery of business objectives

Qualifications

Qualifications / Experience Required

  • A minimum of five years' experience with Financial Services product management &/or digital marketing

  • A background in insurance product management and sales , holding relevant qualifications (eg RG146 at a minimum)

  • Client centric; ensuring the products are both relevant and timely for clients, and able to resolve customer complaints quickly and efficiently

  • Customer focused and dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of both internal and external customers while balancing the priorities of the company and the product Sound experience working with digital intiatives

  • Goal oriented and makes good decisions based upon a mixture of analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment

  • Comfortable with all levels of management and able to communicate (both orally and written) a vision and present effectively to customers, the market, and executives

  • Analytical problem solver; able to understand interdependencies of business functions and impacts of decisions; and set priorities based on what is important

  • Strong promotional capabilities; being able to actively support and develop front-line sales teams in understanding and promotion of the product set he/she is responsible for
