The Infrastructure Cloud Sales Consultant will be instrumental in helping increaseInfrastructure Cloud bookings for the Oracle Digital Sales organisation whichis focussed on helping Small and Medium Size businesses accelerate theirdigital transformations by moving workloads and deploying net new cloudnative projects on to Oracle public and hybrid Cloud

Responsible for formulatingand leading presales technical/functional support activity toprospective clients and customers. Acts as a technical resource andmentor for less experienced Sales Consultants.
Continuousimprovement in self-research, learning and readiness on the new publicand Hybrid cloud services offerings.
Stayabreast of global and regional cloud market and the competition.
Build/ Leverage assets that help simplify available information into keysales messages helping sales teams with value based selling, businesscase definition, ROI analysis, position references and analyst data.
Actively participate inorganizational skill exchanges and transfers expertise to others.
Be creative with strongproblem solving skills and the ability to adapt and succeed in a fastpaced and ambiguous environment.
Successful history of resultoriented business development driving net new business sales as well asincreasing the wallet share in existing customer base.
Fundamental knowledge ofcloud architecture and understanding software development andlifecycle management concepts & methods as it relates to Cloudtechnologies
Ability to provide technicalblue print to meet customer virtual software defined datacenter needs.
Proven track record ofdelivering technical proof of concepts, technical workshops, trainingsand effectively handling technical questions and objections.
Minimum of 5 years ofrelevant experience in positioning, selling enterprise softwaresolutions. Minimum 2 years gained within major cloud vendors.
Credibility at all levels,including Lines of Business and CxO.
- Build solutions involving Compute CS, Storage
CS (Object,Block,Archive Storage), Network CS (VPN, Fast Connect) along with
one /more of Oracle PaaS services (e.g. DBCS).
Deep knowledge of VMW and KVM
Hand on experience covering Network
Elements/Topology/security realms, connectivity options and specially
Software Defined Network
- Cloud native application development using dev
ops paradigm, leveraging docker , using both Oracle and Non Oracle
- Skills/ Certification covering Public and
Hybrid Cloud Security
- Experince of moving on-premise Oracle and Non-workloads
to Compute Cloud Service
- Deep Technical Skills covering all aspects of
Block, Archive and Object Storage Cloud Services
Detailed Description and Job Requirements
The primary focus of a Sales Consultant (Pre-sales) is to become an expert in a core set of Oracle products and solutions and to present the value proposition and benefits of our solutions to our partners, prospects and customers and internally to our sales force
As a Senior Sales Consultant you will be responsible for providing presales technical / functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction with minimal supervision, through on-line/in person sales efforts. Acts as a technical resource for less experienced Internet Sales Consultants. Develop and deliver high quality standard Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Present and articulate advanced product features and benefits, product future direction and overall Oracle solutions. Design, validate, and present Oracle software solutions to include advanced product concepts, future direction, and 3rd party complimentary products. Develop and manage reference sites through high quality technical, professional client relationships. Support sales team in online/in-person selling efforts with minimal supervision. Develop and deliver proposed solution to customers. Approximate percentage of face to face interaction with customers to perform responsibilities is 10%
Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. May have project lead role. 5 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 5 years relevant computer applications or database/tools. Demonstrated proficiency in one multi-user operating system. Through knowledge of system and application design. Strong verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with accounts in complex technical environments. Ability to travel as needed. BS degree or equivalent; advanced degree desirable.
