IT Change Control & Release Associate Managers co-ordinates the activities of the IT Change Management and IT Release & Deployment Management business units.

Their primary responsibility is to ensure continuous availability of IT services at the required capacity and that Change Control strategy, processes, policies and methods are defined, applied and executed.

They advise on and apply principles and disciplines as prescribed by ITIL to the process. This person takes control of the complete change management lifecycle and manages this process to successful execution.

Their objective is to realise lower IT costs, ensure more consistent levels of services and to deliver better quality of IT services for clients.

What you'll be doing

In this position you will be required to:

  1. Analyse organisational IT capacity requirements to create a Capacity Plan to stipulate and enable adequate IT capacity.

  2. Analyse performance of current IT hardware, applications and components to identify areas for improvement, provide recommendations, implement changes and identify actions and opportunities.

  3. Develop strategies for the optimal storage of data and define methods to maintain and manage data storage requirements.

  4. Apply modelling techniques to anticipate the impact of future deployments on current infrastructures.

  5. Compile an availability plan and identify gaps or availability shortages in current architecture.

  6. Identify changes required according to the internal IT Capacity and Availability Management processes and collaborate with other stakeholders to improve and implement these changes.

  7. Develop an effective and practical change control process in line with contractual requirements.

  8. Manage stakeholder relationships with the purpose of delivering consistent levels of service and achieving strategic objectives.

  9. Convene and participate in review boards and conduct post implementation reviews to determine whether key success metrics have been achieved.

  10. Effectively manage a team, their resources, development and overall performance.
